Esteban Chaves takes a long breakaway and resist to win the stage. His teammate Simon Yates reaches him 500 meters from the line but leaves him victory. Yates also takes Pink Jersey.

Aru and Froome struggle but manage to get to the arrival with the other GC contenders

• Giacomo Salmoiraghi’s “GS Stelvio Team” – Giacomo seems to be a rookie to watch

Black Jersey

• Stefano Bernasconi is Last, but only 10 points from Beatrice Andreola’s “Pere Pere Team”
• Mario Bisicchia has found himself after the desert and slowly climbing

Mountains:

• A lot of teams scored points but in similar way to GC result.
• Leadership is still on Giacomo Salmoiraghi’s shoulders
