The Giro has started.

For the 20th time you will enjoy a beatiful May with the Fantasy Giro, proudly hosted by the Tri-Gliceridi Team

The Stage

The giro started with an uphill finish in Visegard

and as expected the winner was Mathieu Van Der Poel that adds a pink jersey to his iincredible collection

Second was Biniam GIRMAY from Eritrea who confirmed his exploit of the Gent-Wevelgem this spring

Third was Pello BILBAO

The three above make the podium also on mountains and in GC

Caleb Ewan fell just 20 meters from finish when he was sprinting with top two

The last km couple of km were a climb where several attacks happened in chase of pink jersey, with a sequence of attacks by Naesen and then Kamna but it ended with a sprint

The Fantagiro

58 teams… new record, we boosted out the 45 teams record of 2020

20 First time contenders this year… the Rookie contest will be interesting

And the top 3 of our first classification go to three rookies:

Ciro and his Staje senza penzier and Luca Canziani’s Il Ciclista win the first stage

Followed by Luca Effigiati’s EFFI in third

The giro is long but the first stage shows some rookies bring some fresh air versus the senators.
