The Stage

The stage was supposed to climb the Mottarone, but the tragedy of the cablecar happened during the weekend asked for the route to be changed and so it happened

At -70km an attack from Deceuinick-Quickstep broke the peloton and Filippo Ganna was asked to stop and reunite the group which hed did in less than 10km

Then the final climb came: Simon Yates attacked and Bernal seemed to crack but with the help of his teammate was able to crawl back and reduce time loss to less than 1 minute

Stage won by Simon YATES followed by Joao ALMEIDA and third Egan BERNAL

The Game

Another stage victory by Edward Caley’s Saddle Sore that is now at 4 stages in 6 days and slowly climbing the classification. Edward also wins the mountain stage

The lead of Luca Monducci is getting shorter, will he survive the mountain attacks of tomorrow?
