Big breakaway, in the breakaway as usual: Alaphilippe and Pellizzari.

Quintana was missing in the berakaway for a suicide tattic of team Movistar

In the end First Pogacar (fifth victory), second Pellizzari (the youngest rider of the giro) and third Martinez who climbs 1 position in GC

Another minute or more left on the road by all GC contenders

Will somebody be able to challenge Pogacar or is it really game over?

The contest

Another couple conquers the stage: Davide Benetello’s Gamba-Pisotni in tandem with Edward Caley’s Slow Puncture

We spoke already about edward, who starts to enjoy his role as a veterad. Dear Ed, drink a beer for me

Davide Benetello is the first rookie to win a stage this year. Davide is also a fellow cyclist although, besides being invited to come on the road to see the giro twice this year, he never showed up, claiming he has to study. This excuse gives him a “too young” label. @Supergiovane, don’t worry, no-one will steal your name

GC:

Rene van Noort’s Bitterballen! is still holding the lead but Jeroen Vandeput’s Molteni are climbing to second with just 11 points from the lead. Just another 2 points behind is Davide Guarisco ‘s Mastechef United. This year the giro seems very battled. Still another couple of teams can win the giro. Hold tight

Mountains:

Alessio Ciardi’s Atletico Lasonil wins the stage.

Alessio’s team alternates from Atletico Lasonil and Lasonil Spalmer. Alessio prints his name in the hall of fame almost every year

A break finally opens in the mountains classification with Marco Facciano’s Pretty in Pink opening a gap of 44 points on the second Lorenzo Lampiano Freno pedalando in salita and a couple mroe on Massimiliano Cividini’s Capitanmax
