The stage

The toughest stage of this year was shortened by 60kms and two major climbs (Marmolada-Fedaia and Pordoi) were cancelled due to cold and rain

Nevertheless the stage was a battle for GC

First of all a group of 6 riders including Almeida, Formolo and Nibali. Nibali was reported breaking a rib yesterday so chapeau to Vincenzo

The weather was pretty bad and there were no images of the stage but halfway through the stage Egan Bernal attacked and distanced everybody. Evenepoel lost 24 minutes, Yates 2,37 minutes and everybody else in the middle

Egan BERNAL won the stage and second was Romain BARDET and third was Damiano CARUSO

Bernal got to the final km in a black rain jacket that in someway ripepd off to show the pink jersey

The game

Stage won by a tandem of Edward Caley’s Saddle Sore and Lorenzo Lampiano’s WE are not COE. the two teams are at their second stage victory this year

Edward Caley’s Saddle Sore also wins the mountain stage, again in tandem but this time with Rita Visonà’s barcollo ma non mollo

Rita is at now at her third giro and is starting to understand the rules of the game. Congratulation also to Rita
